I have some bad news. Having made contact with our prospective accommodation agency they inform me that this is not a good week to be staying in East Kent. The British Open Golf Championship is taking place from the 11th to 19th July which will not only make it impossible to get local accommodation but that this small corner of England will be jammed full of traffic and an extra 200,000 people.
We therefore have to change the date of the tour and that will almost certainly affect the availability of some of the players who have already committed to coming on the tour.
The obvious answers are to either go earlier in the summer (June), or postpone for a year. Changing dates will mean that peoples circumstances will have changed. If we go in August we will be in peak European holiday time and it will be more crowded and more expensive.
I am sorry to share this news with you but am keen to hear your opinions.
