It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Havelock North Cricket club life member Derek Ward has passed away yesterday. As a club we extended our sincerest condolences to his wife Ange and the kids, Becky, Nick and Sophie. His contribution to the Havelock North cricket club over many years has been immense and he will be sorely missed by us all. Over the years he has coached, managed, supported, served as a committee member and kindly sponsored many teams and individuals. You will be sorely missed. Rest easy friend.
