Hi All,

A great weekend for the club with all HNCC sides winning as we look to finish the season strongly. The HNCC Reynard Premiers had an early scare as water seeped through the covers at Anderson Park so we were transferred to the artificial at Windsor Park and luckily we called the toss correctly and batted first and from there we never looked back. We amassed a mammoth total of 286/9 from our 45 overs with good contributions from all players with Will Clark (68) and Brad Schmulian (65) the top scorers. They were left a bit disinterested at the required chase and gave up early as they were dismissed for a paltry 94 in reply with Pete Marrfy, JP and Rhythm Sharma all grabbing 2 wickets as we won by 192 runs in a canter. Last round this week lads let’s take this sort of performance to Cornwall on Saturday.

The HNCC Reynard Division 2 side faced Cornwall and decided to bowl first in user friendly conditions and ran through them for 81 as Sophie Pyott continued her amazing season with 3 – 26 before the wily old dog Andy Reeves snapped up the tail with 4 – 9. Not much to chase and Liam Reeves (34no) made no race of it as we won by 5 wickets with 20 overs to go. Awesome win guys you are on a decent roll into the semis in a couple of weeks.

The HNCC Parker Earthmover 3rds scored a much anticipated win as they secured victory over HBHS 2ND XI. Bowling first Flynn Dunkerley (4 – 27) proved a handful as they were bowled out for 93. In reply good contributions from Adam Dunkerley (23) and Flynn Mercer (22) made sure of the win with only 4 wickets lost. Great to get a win finally guys so well done to all.

The HNCC Reynard Senior Prize giving is to be held on Sunday afternoon the 24th March also at Anderson Park with some fun things planned and the bar and BBQ operating again with more details to follow next week.

On a very sad and somber note on behalf of the club we would like to express our sincerest condolences to one of this seasons valued Junior coaches Josh Parbhu who sadly and suddenly lost his wife this week, We wish you and your two boys and the surrounding family all the best at this very difficult time.
